The El Pescado Billfish Tournament is offering a 40' and Under Division for participants with a maximum 40' boat length restriction. The goal of the 40' and Under Division is to grow the tournament by providing a way for the smaller boats to participate and compete on a more even playing field. This is a separate division for the 40' and Under boats including: a separate registration, Calcutta, and prize categories.

For the entry fee, each boat will receive a Captain’s Bucket full of great fishing gear, 4 tickets to all tournament events including the 3rd annual Fish-N-Chips Casino Night. Additional tickets may be purchased for Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday night. Thursday and Friday tickets are $50 each. Saturday tickets, which include attendance to the awards dinner and the Fish-N-Chips Casino Night, are $75 each.

Prior to October 1, 2011, the registration fee is $900 per boat. After October 1, the registration fee is $1,000. All participants can register for the El Pescado Billfish Tournament and the Calcutta at the Captains’ meeting on Thursday, October 13.

The rules will be the same as the regular tournament with one exception: boats will receive a point per pound for every dolphin or wahoo you weigh over 20 lbs to go with any billfish release points earned (see the Rules tab on this website for more information). There is no limit to how many meat fish a boat can weigh except the applicable state and federal regulations pertaining to those species.
